Balneario BalnearioBalneario

Designed by Panco Sassano and Alejandro Paul, Balneario is a brush script and script font family. This typeface has three styles and was published by Sudtipos.

Cities often have their own voice, a voice that can be read… in each location and each business, voice portraying a cultural fabric with an array of manifestations.

Balneario Script is a small tribute to a coastal port and tourist city. Through the Sign Painters, in its golden age, a clear, friendly, practical, and functional way of making itself heard evolved. Far from wanting to be perfect, a typeface seeks to be close, warm, and casual.

Inspired by the gestures of the brush, Balneario Script reverts to the use of “Casual Letters” so used by Sign Painters. In this adaptation, we sought to adjust its morphology to optimize its performance in small formats and extend the system to include lower case letters as part of the set.

The set of fonts has two script weights in addition to an all caps version. The design emphasizes creating a harmonious morphological criterion.

Friendly, rhythmic, and with a firm stroke “Balneario Script” is unique, ideal for headlines and short texts that need to be gestural but simple and highly functional. This typeface was designed to be used in promotional posters or for relaxed and fun Packagings.

Balneario Script goes beyond constructive or functional aspects. It seeks to capture the smell of the sea, the warm summer breeze and the nostalgic feeling of a city that from its daily life, knew how to forge a unique personality. This atmosphere allows it to host millions of tourists year after year, and with them reinforce their spirit each summer.

The original Broadside family is suitable for headlines and larger sizes, and also comes with condensed and extended versions. Broadside is a versatile, authoritative and functional family inspired by the sans serifs seen on ’40s and ’50s patriotic posters and period advertising. It is available in seven weights across condensed, normal and extended widths, each with reweighed italics. The type from this period was very often hand-drawn, and so differs considerably from poster to poster. Many American examples of this period use a Photo-Lettering style called Murray Hill and its derivatives, although their UK counterparts, designed by such luminaries a...

Evoque Evoque is a humanist serif type family designed for both text and display purposes. Its appearance is crisp and modern while echoing a classical Garamond heritage. The inspiration for Evoque came after reminiscing over Apple’s advertising of the eighties and nineties that utilised incredibly tightly-spaced headlines set in Apple Garamond . I wanted to create a typeface that evoked nostalgia of those times and that distinctive typographic style.  A number of swash alternates and discretionary ligatures enhance Evoque , giving you the opportunity to add more flair and personality to your title and branding designs. Simply activate Stylistic Sets to start adding these flourishes to your typography. Otterco Otterco is a geometric sans serif font family with varied round and narrow characters. Blending a touch of retro and modern qualities, this typeface is clean and neutral but not boring. Coming in both Normal and Display families, the fonts can be used for even more settings and tone of voice. The Normal design has a little less width contrast between characters and looser spacing—good for both small and large text. While the Display design has more character width contrast and tighter spacing—good for larger, attention-getting text. With 32 total fon...
